I earned my Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Africana Studies from the University of San Diego, graduating magna cum laude with departmental honors and receiving the W.E.B. Du Bois Award for my research in Black history. I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Education and a teaching credential, with the goal of becoming a culturally responsive educator and school leader. My academic and research background gives me the tools to support students across history, general social studies, and academic writing—including AP U.S. History, U.S. Government, and college-level courses.
My tutoring style is student-centered, supportive, and clear. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt each session to meet individual needs—whether that means breaking down confusing topics, reviewing writing line by line, or helping a student develop stronger study habits. I’ve worked with middle school, high school, and college students in one-on-one and small group settings, helping them improve not only their grades but their confidence in subjects like U.S. history, world history, civics, and general social studies. I’ve also supported students in crafting standout college essays and understanding complex course material by making content more relatable and easier to apply.
Whether you’re studying for a class, preparing for the AP exam, or applying to college, I’m here to help you succeed. I know how overwhelming writing, history, and social studies can feel—but with the right guidance, it can all start to make sense.
