Hello!

I am KrisAnna and I hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering and am currently working towards obtaining my masters, which has given me a strong academic foundation in mathematics, physics (mechanics), and non-organic chemistry. Throughout my degree program, I completed advanced coursework including Calculus I, II, and III, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, and various physics and engineering courses that required critical problem-solving skills.

I’ve been tutoring for over two years for a program that supports students with learning disabilities. In this role, I provided one-on-one tutoring in college-level math and science subjects, working with students who often had ADHD, autism, or other learning differences.

I have experience tutoring courses such as AP Physics Mechanics, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry and various other advanced level courses, along with many engineering courses such as statics, dynamics, fluid mechanics, fluid dynamics, strength of materials, structural analysis, steel design, and hydraulics.

My tutoring approach is highly individualized. I believe that every student has a unique learning style, and my goal is to meet them where they are. I take time to break down complex concepts into manageable steps and use real-world examples to help make abstract ideas more relatable. With students who struggle with focus or processing, I incorporate strategies like structured breaks, multi-sensory explanations, and interactive practice to keep them engaged and confident. While most of my experience has been with older students, the patience, adaptability, and creativity I’ve developed are essential for working with learners of all ages. I’m passionate about helping students not just succeed in math but also develop a genuine appreciation for problem-solving that they can carry with them beyond the classroom.
