Hi! I'm Nandan and I am going to be an incoming freshman at SDSU in Computer Engineering. Throughout high school, I have spent hours volunteering in my local library to students K-8, mainly tutoring in middle school mathematics such as Integrated I, II and III. In the process, I have learnt the art of teaching and making sure the student is perfectly equipped to understand the content and solve problems while making the lesson fun and engaging. Each time I tutor, I always try catering to the student, making sure I help any existing doubts, before introducing a new topic for learning. After teaching a topic, I give the student practice problems to check their understanding, and continue from there.
I have about 100 hours of volunteering through the library in tutoring, all in middle and high school math. Mathematics has always been my strong suit in school and have taken all 3 AP classes that my school offered: AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics. I have achieved a 5 on all 3 AP exams which is the highest score possible. I can teach a variety of subjects including Calculus, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Prealgebra, Precalculus, and Trigonometry.
Throughout my high school I always made it a priority to make math fun, and help students of any age to understand math better without it being boring. I am welcome to any suggestions and resources by parents or students to help make the lessons more smooth and better for students. I am quite active and my email is always open so feel free to contact me for any questions!
