I am currently a student majoring in Biochemistry, maintaining a strong academic record with A's in General Chemistry and the first sequence of Organic Chemistry. My coursework has equipped me with a deep understanding of core chemistry concepts and their practical applications. Additionally, I’ve gained hands-on experience in labs, including techniques like liquid-liquid extraction and aspirin synthesis, which enhance my ability to explain complex topics to students.

I have been a Chemistry Peer Mentor at San Diego Mesa College, where I have successfully guided students in understanding challenging chemistry topics such as chemical reactions, solubility rules, redox reactions, thermochemistry, and hybridization. My mentoring approach combines patience, clear explanations, and encouragement, ensuring students feel supported and confident. I have experience working with a diverse group of students, from those new to chemistry to those seeking deeper understanding.

In this role, I work one-on-one and in small groups, adapting my teaching style to meet individual needs. My methods include breaking down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps and using practical examples to reinforce learning. I also help students with practice problems to solidify their understanding and improve their performance.

I have been teaching students for over a year in a structured, academic setting. Most of my students are college-aged, but I am confident in tutoring high school students as well. My experience spans helping peers who are just starting their chemistry journey to those preparing for exams or tackling advanced topics in Organic Chemistry.
