For over a year, I’ve been tutoring algebra and calculus at UC San Diego, helping students strengthen their problem-solving skills and gain confidence in math. Before that, I spent six months as a peer tutor at Foothill College, where I helped college students with their calculus courses. Tutoring has taught me how to explain challenging concepts in clear and accessible ways and shown me the value of patience and adaptability. It’s incredibly rewarding to see my students make progress and develop a deeper appreciation for mathematics.
As a senior majoring in Mathematics at UC San Diego, I’ve focused heavily on calculus and algebra. My coursework has ranged from advanced calculus to abstract algebra, giving me a strong foundation across these subjects. Taking abstract algebra, in particular, deepened my understanding of higher-level concepts and strengthened my overall problem-solving approach.
