I have attended many additional training programs and conferences during my professional banking, internal audit and accounting/finance career. These trainings varied from software such as excel or various ERPs, to banking, accounting, risk management or fraud, in essence everything I needed to know to be successful in the corporate world. I also created training programs myself on many occasions to share my knowledge in certain accounting topics, excel and other areas of my expertise.
Having a strong understanding of the concepts in question and their practical applications is essential to effective tutoring. I have almost 30 years of diverse accounting/finance experience which gave me the chance to have a deep understanding of accounting and finance concepts. During this time, I used excel extensively for sophisticated financial modeling and many other business needs. By doing so, I acquired and developed many practical solutions to problems, and I had the chance to tutor my colleagues and my teams to achieve many goals. Sharing my knowledge and guiding colleagues to success has been a very valuable and fun part of my journey.
Math is one of my biggest strengths and I always kept my math skills sharp after school. I used my math skills during my professional life and tutored family members for many years to help them become successful in school.
Obstacles fade when you focus on the target. My goal is to make sure that the students have the right approach to the problems and achieve clarity on the solutions with the techniques I used during my career. I believe in the power of effective communication and simplification. Most of the concepts that we see as complicated can be dissected, analyzed and simplified which gives us the amazing power of clarity.
