Hello, I'm Liz!
I have been teaching university writing, research, and critical thinking courses, facilitating groups, and coaching clients for more than 20 years. It is my passion to help guide you in your creative process and help you achieve your goals.
I have an interdisciplinary academic background. For my BA, I completed a double major of English and Women's Studies with a focus on Creative Writing Poetry. I have two MAs, one in Poetics & Writing and the other in Irish Studies. I have a Doctorate in Education-- my research focus was on writing personal narratives for personal and social transformation. I see my doctoral work as synthesis of my passions for social justice, personal empowerment, and writing.
I have taught a wide variety of courses, from beginner academic essay writing to capstone and thesis courses. I am familiar with APA, MLA, and AMA styles, as well as Legal Writing's IRAC format. -Yep, that's right, I'm a paralegal too!
On a personal note, I am genuinely curious about people, ideas, creativity, and various modes of expression. I welcome the opportunity to connect with you, learn about your project, work, and goals, and support you in achieving them.
