I am seeking students from all age groups, junior high through adult, who wish to improve their critical thinking skills and/or their abilities in English, grammar, vocabulary, writing, and speaking. In addition, I am available to teach persons who desire instruction in biblical and religious studies, in both individual or group contexts.
I have served on the faculty of the University of Phoenix (San Diego Campus) since 2011. During that time, I have taught courses in World Religious Traditions, Ethics, World Mythology, and Critical Thinking Skills. I recently received the Phoenix 500 Award, which recognizes outstanding faculty members at the University. In addition, I have participated in homeschooling my own three children and relate well with youngsters.
I have earned two master's degrees, one in Divinity (M.Div.) and one in Theology (Th.M.), both Summa Cum Laude. I also have done Ph.D. work, DNC. My undergraduate degree is in English, with a minor in premed studies.
I have written two published books and numerous articles on topics including theology, Biblical studies, and business. I have taught students from all backgrounds and age groups, from junior high through adult. My instructional contexts have included classroom, online, and one-on-one in-person teaching.
I have consistently received the highest evaluations from my students, who have frequently stated in writing that I am among the very favorite instructors they have encountered during their academic careers.
