Motivational Math Mentor: Elementary Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2

Hello! Throughout my academic career, I've cultivated a true passion for teaching. From the beginning of high school to graduating with my B.A. and M.A., I dedicated my time to sharing my love for numbers to American Sign Language to reading and writing with elementary, junior high, and high school students as a private tutor. I've taken advantage of the opportunity to keep in contact with my students by providing online and in-person tutoring sessions. As a tutor, I've learned how to serve as an academic role model to encourage collaborative learning and successful study techniques to my students.

For the past 7+ years, my goal as a tutor has been to teach students how to master difficult concepts. At the beginning of each session, I strive to set solid short-term and long-term goals with my students to track improvement. I'm interested in working one-on-one with elementary, middle school, and high school students to help students reach their goals inside and outside of the classroom, working to overcome any challenges and build their confidence in mathematics.

A little more about me: I graduated from the University of Iowa with my B.A. in Speech and Hearing Science and a minor in American Sign Language, in addition to an M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology.
