I am a French native speaker and was born in Martinique, an overseas France department in the Caribbean, and grew up in Paris, France. I lived in many different countries: Italy, England, Denmark and USA. I moved back to California in July 2015. I speak fluent French, English and Italian. I have six years experience tutoring and teaching French and English. I tutored French and English in Aalborg, Denmark, to students who major in French and in English. While living in France I tutored to children (6 up to 10 years old), students (11 up to 25 years old) and adults (25 and up). I also worked for C2L Linguistic Club in Leves, France as a French and English tutor from September 15, 2014 to July 1, 2015. I have studied Child development at Saddleback College.
It's fascinating and rewarding to see students progressing in the language he/she is learning. Being able to express yourself in different languages make you feel like you can understand the whole world instead of feeling alone. I am currently enrolled in Saddlebag College to continue my education and to earn a Bachelor degree in teaching foreign languages. My goal is to become a foreign language teacher. A person may receive more opportunities when they speak multiple languages.
A student of mine that is six years old told me: " Once you understand and speak two languages it gets easier to learn four or five languages because you get smarter. It feels very good to understand different languages". She shares a common ground of communication with others around the world. Patricia is knowledgeable and patient. My daughter felt better prepared for her test and we look forward to our next session with Patricia.
Patricia is an extraordinary French tutor. A native speaker, she conducted the lesson entirely in French which not only elevated the learning experience for my daughter but also totally immersed her in the language. This is exactly the type of instruction we were looking for. Patricia is insightful and patient with a commanding but warm personality that easily engaged my daughter while setting her at ease. Patricia's enthusiasm is highly contagious, and she has reinforced my daughter's love of the French language and her desire to attain fluency. I would highly recommend Patricia to anyone who is serious about learning French.
Patricia helped me review my dusty conversational French skills. She was supportive and patient and made the lessons relevant and memorable. Patricia is an outstanding tutor!
Patricia is very friendly and good with young kid, my son loves her, he requested to view the same material Patricia showed him the second day because he is really interested in learning them. This is our first class, we are looking for further tutoring by Patricia. Thank you.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
