Experienced Art Instructor in Traditional, and Digital platforms

I'm Ammariah, or most call me Ami. I have a long history as an art instructor. My career started back in 2013 with a program called Let's Make a Book as a comic book instructor. I am also an instructor and featured artist at Main Street Art Studio & Gallery in Salinas, California in both painting and drawing.

From both of these professions, I have taught many ages, from five year olds to teens to adults to seniors. I am very well at adapting to my students preferences and needs.

I want to spread my knowledge, skills and techniques to all my students. Art is a magnificent form of expression and can bring out true creativity.

I have studied both digital art and traditional in my years in college at Monterey Peninsula College. I graduated in 2016 with an AA in General Studies in Art and Humanities. I am self taught in my skills as a traditional artist from a very young age, and I wish to continue what I learned to my students.

I am proficient in several types of traditional mediums: Charcoal and Pastel, InkWash painting, Acrylic Painting, Sketching, Comic Book making and Storyboarding. In digital, I have several skills in Adobe Photoshop, Paint-Tool Sai and Adobe Illustrator.

I teach in a step by step process, which is precise, patient and adaptable. My instruction may include several creative games to help bring out the imagination of my students.

Art is my passion. I have known since I was very young that I wanted to be an artist, and I want to give the opportunities I never had as a kid to others. I am a very open person, and I love to spread my passion to others.
