I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Education from the University of California, Davis, and later completed a Master's degree in Instructional Design. My educational background has provided me with a strong understanding of how students learn, develop, and build confidence in academic settings. Through my studies, I gained experience in learning theories, instructional strategies, student motivation, and adapting lessons to meet the needs of different learners.
Over the past several years, I have worked with students ranging from elementary school through junior high in a variety of educational settings, including general education classrooms, dual immersion programs, and Resource Specialist Program (RSP) environments. My experience includes supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally while collaborating with teachers and staff to create positive learning experiences. I have also worked closely with students who require additional support and accommodations to help them reach their goals.
My approach to tutoring focuses on patience, encouragement, and building student confidence. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods to fit each learner's needs and learning style. Whether working one-on-one or in a classroom setting, my goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing skills, and becoming more independent learners.
