I would lead a discussion on a written piece and the student will be given the chance to share their opinions or beliefs. However, they will be asked how they came to their conclusions. It is not to put them on the spot, but to practice using text examples as support for their ideas (great practice for essay writing). Questions and commentaries in the discussion will involve symbolism plus themes and the overall plot of the written piece.

I have taken graphic design/art courses, an art education course, and a new media art class and can use what I have learned in tutoring sessions. I will give sincere critique to those who show me their artwork or photograph and give advice for improvement. For example, "it seems you need to work on line smoothness in this drawing" or "try zooming in or trying different angles when taking a photo."

I would be happy to assist students in understanding and appreciating literature plus help them in improving their skills in photography and drawing.

Daughter is very happy with Andrea as her tutor

Andrea did an initial assessment of my 7 year old's daughters drawing style. I liked that she did that. I wasn't aware of the type of style my daughter was drawing was anime, so it was nice to know. Now the lessons are geared toward improving upon that style. We just completed a color wheel lesson which she started applying toward her drawings. My daughter is really enjoying her lessons and like Andrea as her tutor. So you can go wrong by picking Andrea as a tutor for your child. All lessons have been 5 stars.

Thank you for the review, I am glad your daughter enjoyed the lessons.

Listens well to my feedback

I had a good first art lesson. The lesson went a little fast for my ADHD brain to follow. But she listens great to feedback and took my limitations into account when it was brought to her attention. If you are specific about your needs she is an excellent art tutor.
