Math was one of my favorite and strong subjects in school. I enjoyed helping classmates and students in helping them understand how math can relate to the real world and ways to approach it. My approach in math is to understand where the student's math skills are and help them achieve the desired skills they want.
Spelling was one of my strong suits in school, since it's important in reading and language. Spelling further highlights what you are describing. My approach to spelling is dependent on the student. We can work together to achieve the spelling goals the student has.
I work as an architectural designer now for 3 years and have my bachelors in architecture from Cal Poly SLO. My goal is to approach architecture through the interests of the student. I currently still work as a mentor in the profession of architecture at River City High School through the CREATE Mentor Program through the Sacramento Builders' Exchange.
I enjoy reading and discussions. It's important for students to be able to find reading material that best suits them. Reading happens all around us and it's important to tap into that student's potential and desire to want to read more.
Each student has so much potential, dreams, and intelligence. It depends on the teachers and tutors who are able build that relationship in understanding and advocating for their students.
