My name is Robby Gill, I'’ve tutored over 14+ students from 2015-2020 in AP European History, AP United States History, AP Government, AP English Language, AP English Literature, and AP Macroeconomics. Grateful to share that every student has passed their AP exam.
My approach is simple: we develop rapport and trust with the student, explain course curriculum in distinct and memorable themes, develop a passion for the subject & larger goals, and teach mental toughness for day-of-the-test execution. Considering the AP Exams and other coursework are now mostly free-response-based, our approach to theme-based teaching will help students develop proper writing and argumentation skills. They will understand how to explain specific events (in History), or subjects (in English) in relation to the theme.
Aside from tutoring, I hold a Bachelor's degree in Government with a focus on U.S. history and politics. I just spent the last 2 years getting my Masters in Public Administration at University of Southern California. For work, I lead a team of 7 Business Development Managers, focused on building technology partnerships, at Amazon Web Services.
