Jazz big band, rock bands, jazz combos, Jazz choir, and acapella choir.
I attended American River College (Sacramento) where I received my Associate of Arts Degree in Music,

A Great combo coach of Piano & Voice

Mark introduced some new fingering techniques for piano to assist my 74 year old hands and blended a voice coaching session in very well with our initial 1 hour session

Knowledgeable and patient

My son is 12 and finally wanted to learn guitar. Mark has been patient and explains every detail where my son actually understands it. Even recommended some books they will use in the lessons. I’m excited for them to continue their lessons

Great music teacher

I am taking guitar lessons from Mark and it is worth it. I was trying to teach myself and I learned more in our first lesson than I had in my own attempts before. He is going to teach me both string plucking and using a pick. I'm very happy with the lessons and he is a lot of fun. If his schedule permits, I'm hoping to maybe even take another instrument in the future. I highly recommend him. He has a big knowledge base and he is very helpful and patient.

Great Knowledge Logic Pro X

Mark was able to explain features and abilities of Logic was is not available in any tutorial programs or manuals. I had been trying unsuccessfully for weeks with Apple Support, and found them very weak with their own program. With Mark's in depth knowledge of recording he was able to jump right to the heart of my problem

Mark is great

Mark is a Great violin teacher. Willing to work with what you want to focus on. Clearly a great versatile musician. Very happy with the lessons. Learning a lot and looking forward to continuing the lessons!

Great tutor

I learned how to do the clarinet positions and technique, and even got better at playing some hard notes. I really enjoyed my lesson with Mark, and I can't wait for my next lesson!

Violin lesson

My lack of knowledge playing the violin is why I decided to take lessons to move forward and get better. I chose Mark for a few reasons 1) pricing. 2) his experience playing and teaching different instruments. I like how he knew where I was in knowledge by the first and second lesson to pick up and start moving forward. He’s very helpful and patient doesn’t matter how many times I ask him to show me again he slows down shows me over and over until I get it or understand he compliments on how you’re doing or progressing I know I probably have a lot of bad habits and instead of pointing them out he gives exercises to help. you I enjoy the material and comprehend why I’m doing it. He gives you enough work to keep you busy until your next appointment. he’s very flexible which helps with my schedule. I’ve had four lessons now with Mark and I look forward to my live lesson

Great instructor!

Mark is working with my husband on improving his basic piano skills, teaching him how to properly warm up with exercises, and working on his first song. This setup is especially great during shelter in place.

Great tutor for first time guitar players!

Mark R.P. was very patient and encouraging with my 9 year old daughter during her first formal guitar lesson. He has a lesson plan in mind but adapts it according to the skill level of the student and took time to go over basics like how to hold the guitar, tuning, etc. He pointed us toward a good method book to use with the lessons and to have as a resource while practicing. My daughter left the lesson with even more excitement about learning how to play!
