Hi!

My name is Arjun and I'm physician completing residency in Diagnostic Radiology. I graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Harvard College. I scored in the top 5% on the MCAT and USMLE steps 1 and 2, and am very happy to help you do the same!

Hi!

My name is Arjun and I'm physician completing residency in Diagnostic Radiology. I graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Harvard College. I scored in the top 5% on the MCAT and USMLE steps 1 and 2, and am very happy to help you do the same!

Given my educational background, I have a lot of experience with standardized testing, including the SAT, MCAT, and USMLE Step 1 and Step 2. I also have experience with the pre-med coursework (Bio, Chem, Physics, English), and also the medical school curriculum (Anatomy, Physio, Pathophys, etc.)

I am passionate about teaching, and have a long experience tutoring and mentoring students in public speaking and debate. In high school and college I mentored other students in debate for national forensics tournaments. In college, I was a peer advisor and tutor for history and advanced English writing. In medical school, I have continued to tutor other students with various subjects, ranging from Gastroenterology to Psychiatry.

I am also happy to offer general services in college, med school, and residency preparation — including strategizing about the best programs for you, essay revisions, and mock interviews. I am happy to share strategies that have helped me gain admission to competitive medical schools and residency programs.

I majored in history at Harvard and have a deep background in American History in particular. I competed on Jeopardy and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. Happy to tutor for AP US or other American history classes.
Anatomy

Anatomy

I am in my final year of medical school and have experience with anatomy from both cadaveric dissection and from clinical correlates. I scored in the top percentile of my medical school's gross anatomy course, and would be happy to help you memorize and understand human anatomy. I am also going into diagnostic radiology and am happy to explore how radiologic and imaging correlates can help understand anatomy, too!

I'm a fourth year medical student who scored 515+ on the MCAT, with a perfect score in the CARS section. I would love to work together to help you achieve the MCAT score you need! The CARS (critical analysis and reading) section is often the hardest for many pre-med students, but it is my area of expertise. I was a history major in college and write and edit professionally, so I have strategies for how to pick apart each excerpt, and how to best approach the multiple choice questions!

Since then, I have continued to hone my critical reading and analysis skills as a professional writer and editor. I would be happy to work with you on the SAT reading section, and I have a few techniques for getting through the passages and guessing (when unsure!) on the MCQs. Hoping to hear from you!

I received a perfect score on the SAT Writing section and went on to Harvard College, where I majored in the humanities. I continued to hone my writing and have since become a published author; I write nonfiction for outlets ranging from popular science to politics to biomedical research. I also write fiction and short stories. I have a wealth of experience with the SAT writing section and the CARS on the MCAT, and would be happy to tutor you in these subjects. I have techniques for breaking down passages and making educated guesses on the MCQ's when you don't know the answer for sure! Educated guessing is a practicable skill! My approach is to break down problems from AMBOSS or UWorld and walk you through my reasoning — we can then drill down on specific topics that come up, and identify helpful memory techniques.
