I am know a lot about the English language and ESL, teaching methods, and learner styles. I also have lots of experience from the position of a language learner. I speak Welsh, French, Spanish and Chinese.
While I was living in China I earned a TESOL Certification (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from TEFL International in Zhuhai, China. This was an intensive, 120-hour course that taught the skills of teaching, methodologies, phonetics and linguistics, and supervised training practices.
I believe strongly in the importance of establishing and maintaining rapport with my students. This means I do everything I can to create a safe and supportive learning environment that is both enjoyable and instructive.
