I've been teaching college courses in English composition and philosophy for several years. Before that, I taught mathematics grades 6 through 12. I love tutoring, because I can give students personalized and customized help, and I really enjoy seeing students ace their assignments and classes.

I've been teaching college courses in English composition and philosophy for several years. Before that, I taught mathematics grades 6 through 12. I love tutoring, because I can give students personalized and customized help, and I really enjoy seeing students ace their assignments and classes.

My approach to tutoring is to teach content alongside good study habits. I can help you identify the best strategies and environments for sustained academic work. I can also guide you through the writing process, to cut down on the time required to compose an essay. I can work with you to set and reach personal and academic goals. Students I've tutored in the past have told me that I am very patient and that I explain things clearly.

I have formal education training from CUNY, a Master's from NYU and 6 years of teaching experience at the college level. Work with me, and I promise you'll see amazing results.

Logic

I've completed both undergraduate and graduate courses in logic, which covered (among other things): Aristotle's syllogisms, sentential and predicate logic, and mathematical logic. A degree of fluency in logic was presupposed in the graduate philosophy courses I took at Yale and NYU (especially in courses on metaphysics and epistemology). I've also taught truth-tables to younger students using Raymond Smullyan's "Knights and Knaves" puzzles.
