Intelligence comes in many forms. My goal is to help you discover yours, then design lessons that match the way you think. Real learning isn't memorization; it's letting curiosity lead. Experience and graduate research show me the best path is dialogue.

Intelligence comes in many forms. My goal is to help you discover yours, then design lessons that match the way you think. Real learning isn't memorization; it's letting curiosity lead. Experience and graduate research show me the best path is dialogue.

Live or through an AI tool we build together, the aim is conversation that amplifies your creativity. My Co-Creative Dialogue Protocol turns AI from an answer machine into a thought partner that pushes you to dig deeper and find answers yourself. You'll feel yourself getting smarter.

Once you have the process, we can tackle almost any subject. As a creative generalist, I help you connect ideas across disciplines so you understand what things truly mean.

For 30+ years I've been a certified educator, researcher, and learning designer. I hold an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from CSU Sacramento and studied political science and history at Colorado State. At Galena High School I taught social studies, government, and debate, and co-created The Global Challenge Project with my students: a world history game where they write questions, then answer them to defend or win territory. It was a Falling Walls finalist, featured at GamiCon48v. I also led debate for Education Unlimited's summer program at Stanford and UC Berkeley.

I tutor World History, U.S. Government, speech and debate, and essay writing. For college students and adults, I add metacognition: How did I reach this answer? Is my method working?

For teachers, founders, and professionals, I coach generative AI: turning AI into a thought partner, building your own chatbot, writing better prompts, organizing research, and prototyping ideas in plain language.

Something unique: I've built 25+ apps largely from voice notes recorded on walks and hikes, then turned into build instructions for AI coding tools. I'll show you how.

Most of all, I'm a catalyst for new thinking and confidence. Let's get started!

In addition to being a generative AI and ChatGPT specialist, I recently became a published author - contributing a chapter in an anthology called AI Futures. The book focused on the creative and transformative potential of AI. My chapter was titled "When Everything Became Possible: The Story of Three Universal Characters, Set Free to Help us Understand our Future with AI" I have also contributed to a popular AI platform called FlowGPT and have attracted over 64,000 views and 2,000 use cases of my generative AI prompts. My work in prompt engineering involves utilizing emerging generative AI technologies to craft thoughtful and effective prompts that support business innovation, educational development, productivity, and content strategy. I have also contributed to the design of interactive educational games that aim to prepare students for future challenges and have developed strategies to improve job search and content marketing outcomes. I am a member of the AI Futures Publishing Group, an active participant in the AI Entrepreneurship group and have been a presenter on prompt crafting techniques to the AI 101 Guild.

Elementary (K-6th)

I administered a summer program for a private middle school. The summer program offered classes for grades 6-12. I spent four years of tutoring k-12 students for Huntington Learning Center. I have one year experience supervising a tutoring program for K-12 students for Total Education Solutions. And I worked with elementary age kids as part of a tutoring program for Bright Futures Learning, Inc.
General Music

General Music

I've been a French Horn player since I was seven years old. I was a Young Artist competition winner and received a music scholarship to college. Along the way, I've played in wind ensembles, brass quintets and symphony orchestras. In addition to experience in performing in many different musical groups, I've also taught music lessons and have substituted for school conductors.
Government & Politics

Government & Politics

I hold a B.A. in Political Science and an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction, and I taught high school U.S. Government for seven years. As a former college debater, high school debate coach, and lead debate instructor for summer programs at Stanford and UC Berkeley, I know how to make constitutional law, federal institutions, public policy, and persuasive argument click. To bring government to life, I use interactive tools I built: a federal budget simulator where students weigh real fiscal trade-offs, and an AI news tool that teaches them to spot logical fallacies in political rhetoric.
Proofreading

Proofreading

In addition to graduate work in the field of education, I was also a content strategist in Silicon Valley. In both those cases, writing and editing were the keys to success.
Public Speaking

Public Speaking

I have extensive experience in the realm of public speaking. Most recently, I served as TEDx Board Member, Co-curator and head of The Speaker Team. As such, I recruited and coached speakers on their presentations for major TEDx events. I have also been a Lead Speech and Debate teacher for Education Unlimited's summer communications program. This included working with middle and high school students on the elements of effective speech and debate. Additionally, I am a former high school speech and debate coach and helped one student go all the way to the national tournament in Lincoln-Douglas Debate. I am also a former high school and college debate team member. I have made multiple appearances on TV and radio on a range of topics; hosted a jazz radio program for a college public radio station and produced and hosted a community access TV program. I have appeared on two community access TV programs on educational topics and was a social studies teacher where I gained a wide range of experience in delivering workshops and presentations. Finally, I recently served as a "certified presenter" for A Plus Workshops.
Social Studies

Social Studies

After receiving a teaching certification in Secondary Social Studies, I taught world history and U.S. Government at a public high school for five years. In addition to presenting at a regional social studies conference, I'm also the developer of a game-based learning project for social studies teachers, called Global Challenge. Combining this with my background in study skills, I can help students develop effective strategies to learn material in all social studies courses.
Study Skills

Study Skills

I'm a good person to go to for help with memory, concentration, reading speed, test taking techniques, reading comprehension, effective writing and general study methods. In addition to achieving a 4.0 GPA in graduate school, I developed and taught both a study skills and creative/ critical thinking course for the public library. I've worked with students, teachers and parents for the past 20 years and have a lot of knowledge I can pass on to you. I can do all this with creativity, compassion, dedication and a good sense of humor.
Writing

I've been developing a career in writing for at least the last ten years and have recently been working here in Silicon Valley as a content strategist. Doing these jobs well requires precise, descriptive, accurate and creative writing skills -- all of which I can teach you. As of this writing, my blog has received over 65,000 page views.
