Hello! I'm a dedicated young professional and educator with expertise in Writing, English, Statistics, Economics, Government, and History. I hold a BA in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and I recently earned my Master in International Affairs from the School of Global Policy & Strategy at the University of California, San Diego, where I also completed a Quantitative Certificate. My studies and work have taken me across research, policy, and the classroom to help clarify complicated ideas and inform action-oriented decision-making.
At UCSD, I worked as a Teaching Assistant for a graduate-level Policy-Making Processes course, where I supported students with a wide range of backgrounds, confidence levels, and goals. That experience taught me the importance of finding the right entry point for each person. Whether students need help organizing their ideas into a strong argument, increasing their confidence in statistics or economics, or just thinking out loud in a patient, encouraging space, I enjoy meeting students where they're at and encouraging their growth. On the writing side, I can help with brainstorming, thesis development, structure, revision, and polishing. On the quantitative side, I can walk through statistics concepts step by step, including hands-on work in R, and show how the ideas build on each other so they can build their mathematical literacy and apply concepts in everyday life. For Government, Economics, and History, I like connecting the material to the bigger picture and current events, with a focus on a nuanced, balanced, and evidence-based curriculum that empowers students to be active members of their communities.
