I learned to play guitar through a passion of wanting to rock alongside with the music I listen to - to be apart of the emersion that music has always given me. I was taught by a young professor in high school, then my passion drove me to my skills and to spread this art of guitar.
Currently a student majoring in Psychology, I know the importance of using patience-based tutoring methods, following a growing confidence for your own skills in a supportive, uplifting, yet constructive environment. I have taught my friends learning guitar great exercises(spider, theory, & picking) and have supported their own passions - even getting to a point where my beginner guitarist friends and I can play alongside each other. I've considered playing in bands - with several offers within the Sacramento scene; though I know uplifting guitarist's is what's actually for me.
I've been playing for nearly 5+ years now and my methods of teaching will be based on the philosophy of: "If I were to learn guitar again, this is how I would practice." Although I can offer a variety of curriculums and lessons depending on where you're looking to start: Beginner basics, even genres like Rock, Metal, Post-Hardcore, as well as fingerstyle playing such as folk; I can navigate blues, jazz, and bossa nova - providing an understanding of theory as a foundation if desired.
I look forward to uplifting guitarist's who I once was like.
