UC Berkeley Grad with Excellent Academic Writing Curriculum

Having earned my Bachelor's in anthropology from UC Berkeley in 2025, I am prepared and eager to assist students in all matters relating to reading comprehension, essay writing, social scientific theory and practice, and proofreading. Throughout my collegiate career, I conducted research at the Phoebe A. Hearst Museum of Anthropology, the East Asian Archaeology Laboratory, the Archaeological Research Facility, and the Magnes Collection of Jewish Art and Life, providing me a breadth of knowledge in the social sciences and humanities. Accordingly, I have composed and edited dozens of academic essays, research proposals, and personal statements, earning me an accumulative GPA of 3.98 from UC Berkeley. Moreover, in May of 2025, the Department of Anthropology at UC Berkeley commemorated my achievements by awarding me the Theodore D. McCown Prize for Most Outstanding Anthropology Student.

My tutoring philosophy centers around the defining building blocks of academic writing: argument, evidence, and elaboration. Students of mine will achieve proficiency in essay composition by mastering each element before compiling their work into a final product. Of course, to offer students a well-rounded curriculum, I will tutor on the smaller details of academic writing as well (e.g. tone, vocabulary, citations, etc.). My curriculum is adaptable to various grade levels, and students will find their reading comprehension skills improve as a result of their growing writing proficiency under my guidance. Moreover, while I am especially knowledgeable about the social sciences, I am skilled in writing for disciplines such as history, English, and philosophy.
