My name is Diego , I am a 4th year college student. I am currently pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering, with a strong academic focus in mathematics. Throughout my studies I have completed Calculus I, II, III, and Differential Equations, which has given me not only a solid command of higher-level math but also a clear understanding of how these concepts build on one another. This background allows me to explain complex ideas in ways that are accessible to students who are still developing foundational skills.
My tutoring experience includes working with high school students in trigonometry and calculus, both subjects I am deeply familiar with through my own coursework. My teaching approach centers on identifying each student’s strengths and weaknesses so I can meet them exactly where they are. I break challenging topics into smaller, more manageable parts and use clear, step-by-step explanations to help students build confidence as well as understanding.
Up to this point, all of my tutoring has been volunteer-based, conducted through one-on-one sessions and peer study groups since I began college. These experiences have taught me how to adapt to different learning styles, guide students through problem-solving processes, and create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions.
