I became a tutor because I genuinely enjoy helping students gain confidence in subjects that once felt overwhelming. I earned my B.S. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from UC Davis, where I also worked as a peer tutor and completed tutoring training course. That experience helped me build a strong foundation in instructional strategies, communication skills, and ways to break down complex concepts so students can approach them with clarity and confidence.
Over the years, I have worked as a private tutor with students of many ages and backgrounds. I also currently substitute teach with a 30-day sub permit, and my favorite part of that role is working in the learning center. Supporting students in small groups allows me to focus on individual needs and guide them through material at a pace that works best for them. My teaching experience includes one-on-one sessions, small-group instruction, and full classroom settings, both in person and online, which has helped me adapt easily to different learning styles and environments.
I believe that effective tutoring is personalized, patient, and collaborative. I spend time identifying the concepts students struggle with and create custom, tailored study guides and practice materials to reinforce those areas. Whether I am helping a student prepare for an exam, strengthen foundational skills, or simply build confidence in a subject, my goal is to make learning approachable and empowering. I value working with diverse learners and strive to create a supportive, encouraging atmosphere where every student feels capable of succeeding.
