About Rae

Bio

Hi! I’m Rae. I tutor students in 4th–10th grade in English, reading comprehension, and writing skills. I focus on confidence-building, structure, and step-by-step guidance so learning feels calm, clear, and manageable. I create an encouraging environment where students can slow down, understand their assignments, and feel proud of their progress.

I focus on confidence-building, structure, and step-by-step guidance so learning feels calm, clear, and manageable. I create an encouraging environment where students can slow down, understand their assignments, and feel proud of their progress.

A little about my background: I began working with students as a teacher’s assistant in 2nd and 4th-grade classrooms. I later earned my degree in Communication and have spent the last 6 years working as a certified training officer and crisis communications specialist. Through this experience, I’ve developed a patient, supportive teaching style that meets students where they are and helps them grow over time.

I am a self-published author of young adult fiction, poetry, children, and self-help books. I have dedicated most of my studies to creative writing and have been to several workshops on the topics. I enjoy peer reviewing writings and teaching others how to amplify their descriptive fiction writing.

I’m currently continuing my education in Library Sciences and Public Policy, and I’m excited to support young learners in building strong reading and writing foundations that will carry them forward academically and personally. I’d love to help your student grow and build confidence!
