Hello, I am Eli and I am an English tutor who hopes to find strong students who are willing to learn and improve their grades. I am currently in college earning my associates in English, and have taken multiple english classes that make me qualified to teach either peers, or those in grade levels below. Consequently, I have been certified as a American River College Peer Tutor which is a selective position that is offered at my college, allowing myself to tutor others for subjects they are struggling with (most often for English).
As for my experience, I am actively tutoring students for one year for english, and have had good ratings. I am hoping to find the same audience here on Wyzant so that each student had their own chance to shine through their writing. As I have said previously in regards to my training, I have adopted three types of teachings styles which include auditory, kinesthetic, and visual. These learning styles may be tailored to each student I will be tutoring, allowing to create a productive work environment and being in a flow state when writing.
Lastly, I have been volunteering as a peer tutor at my local high school which gave me more experience and more insight on how to adopt different students needs into a tailored tutoring session.
