It makes a difference what language you speak before learning a foreign language. I specialize in teaching native English speakers. Over the years, I’ve helped 100+ students of all ages significantly improve their French, get ready for a trip or prepare for an Exam (French I, II, III and AP as well as the DELF*, for which I am a Certified Examiner). I currently teach or have taught at: the Alliance Francaise (Sacramento, Silicon Valley), University of Freiberg (Germany) and University of Notre Dame de Namur (California).
Several of my students consider me to be « the best language teacher they’ve ever had ». I obviously can’t guarantee that you’ll feel the same way. However, I can guarantee that you’ll get an experienced, knowledgeable, down to earth, often fun and always patient professional to teach and guide you.
Indeed, I can draw on my experience of speaking 3 languages fluently and being conversational in 2 more to help you not just learn « some » French but actually become proficient.
I’d like to mention that I speak like a native. However, I also experienced firsthand the difficulties and challenges inherent to learning French as a foreign language when I moved to France with my French mother at the age of 8.
