Hi, I'm Kelvin, a Deaf native ASL signer in California, and ASL is my first language. I use ASL professionally every single day as a full-time caregiver for a Deaf client, so I live this language rather than having learned it from a textbook. My lessons are fully visual and conversational. I teach complete beginners, families of deaf children, high school and college students working through ASL classes, and professionals who want ASL for their job.

In my lessons you will learn to think in ASL instead of translating from English, and you will pick up real Deaf culture and etiquette that no book can teach. I do not use voice in lessons. Everything is taught in ASL, and your questions are supported through typed English in the chat, which keeps every lesson clear and comfortable. I am patient and encouraging, and I adjust the pace to each student, whether we meet for your very first signs or for steady weekly practice.
If you want to learn from a native signer and not just memorize vocabulary, I would love to work with you.
