As soon as I received my bachelors degree I pursued substitute teaching. When I began substitute teaching I enjoyed every bit of it, it literally was living my dream. I took on every class they gave me from grades K-8 and even substituted in for the after school teachers after I would finish my work day. I loved every minute of it and had to begin working on my credential to become a full time teacher.

I have a Kinesiology degree from Humboldt State University. I worked so hard I began to be the first person they would call for long-term substitute teaching jobs. I had the opportunity to teach many different classes full time and have opportunities to create lessons and use my own teaching styles. In the mean time I began working on my credential in physical education and master’s of education. I have been a substitute teacher for the last 4 years and am currently working on my student teaching to finish up my credential/master’s degree. I am so close to living my dream.

I have always been involved with sports and fitness. I spent 14 years playing football and got the opportunity to play at a collegiate level. I know many techniques and good ways of teaching them. I know basketball through studying the form and applying it to my own practice. I also learned how to teach the specific offensive and defensive techniques through my education of teaching at Humboldt State.

Cooking is a newly picked up passion. I have excelled in perfecting flavors for your favorite bbq meats. I work to have flavors that work together to create a masterpiece.

I look forward to teaching you and helping you excel. I will strive for excellence and do my best to help you succeed. Help me begin my dream as I become a full time teacher.
