Welcome, I am George. I graduated with my Masters in Criminal Justice, was a member of my college's student council, and currently work with middle school children. I have worked with middle school children for four years now, I have volunteer history with K-8th graders through the Girls and Boys Club. I am a Campus Safety Officer, but everyday is a learning day for students, and several times I have even assisted them in their classes. Sometimes one teachers method of teaching doesn't work, so maybe another approach helps make more sense of a subject. I learned this from my experiences in school and strongly believe in more than one approach to teach a subject.
I have tutored family and family friends in 7th grade Math, Algebra I, II, and a little in Geometry.
My highest math achievement in college was Elementary Probability and Statistics.
I enjoy reading and writing. I have proof-read friends and family's English assignments during High School and English with great results.
I enjoy History and am always eager to get into History conversations with friends. I have learned new things myself and taught new things as well. History tends to be boring for young students, but once a simple outline or method to read is explained, then students can do well in History without using the reason of "it's boring" or "why do we need to learn it?"
In one way or another all subjects are important. Together they help us make our way through the world. Some subjects much more than others, but to make our way, we need to know what we can expect on our way.
