I am Deeban. I am an expert in the Python programming language, a popular language of choice in several AI applications. With respect to education, I completed 1-1/2 years of PhD theoretical coursework in Computer Science (CS) with Advanced Standing at Columbia University. I completed MS in CS at UCLA (GPA=3.96/4.00) with Thesis on Multi-Modal Medical Image Registration. I was awarded the UCLA Engineering Achievement Award for Student Welfare. I completed BS in CS at Cornell University along with a Minor in Mathematics. At Cornell, I received a full academic scholarship, the Meinig Family Cornell National Scholar, McMullen Cornell Engineering Dean Scholar, Thomas Dinwoodie McMullen Scholar, and the CS Departmental Honors. I was also on the Engineering Dean’s list for several semesters.
Regarding teaching experience, I taught CS to my Data Science project team at Cornell. I gave coding assignments that detailed possible new features for our team project. Being a National, State, and District BPA champion, I tutored my younger brother in AP Calculus, AP Physics, Probability, and CS when he was a Monta Vista High School student, and Georgia Tech student. I provided challenging homework problems similar to, and beyond the ones given by his teachers. I guided my brother to teach CS as a high school intern in an Indian village high school, whereby we used a digital whiteboard, projector, and PowerPoint slides to present the information. Being a National, State, and District Chess champion, I provided numerous one-to-one chess lessons to students in our neighborhood. I also innovated 3 softwares for IDLA at 16 years old and presented it to the Senate Education Committee at the Capitol Building in Boise, ID.
Regarding work experience, I was a software engineer in SLAC, P&G, Microsoft, Nvidia, HP, IDLA, & WhiteCloud Analytics. I published seven CS research papers in IEEE, UCLA, and Stanford U. Besides being MTA C# certified, I am also a member of the Golden Key Int'l Honors Society.
