I recently graduated from UCLA with a degree in Data Theory, a program combining advanced mathematics, statistics, and computing. My background includes calculus, linear algebra, probability, and statistics, and my preparation began in high school where I completed the Integrated Math series along with Honors Pre-Calculus/Trigonometry, AP Statistics, and AP Calculus BC. These experiences built a strong foundation and taught me how to approach math logically and step by step. I enjoy helping students see that math is about understanding patterns, not memorizing steps.
I have tutoring experience with students of different ages. At Sierra College, I was selected as a PASS peer tutor for Linear Algebra and Differential Equations, where I worked with students weekly in calculus and linear algebra and completed formal tutor training focused on communication and supporting diverse learners. I also volunteered as a Homework Coach at a public library, supporting elementary and middle school students with math and helping them strengthen foundational skills.
My tutoring style is patient and structured. I focus on understanding where a student feels stuck and guiding them through the reasoning behind problems. I encourage questions and aim to build confidence so students can solve problems independently and feel more positive about math.
