My diverse teaching experience and cross-cultural background make me a highly effective ESL teacher. With over seven years of experience teaching English to children, adolescents, and adults (including online and in international settings), I’ve developed a deep understanding of how to create inclusive, student-centered learning environments that foster language acquisition and confidence. My work in Chile and with online ESL platforms has strengthened my Spanish language skills and cultural awareness, allowing me to build meaningful connections with students from diverse backgrounds. I have a TEFL Certificate that I received while living in Chile and I also have a degree in Latin American Studies.
What sets me apart as an ESL teacher is my ability to blend structured language instruction with creative, student-centered methods that promote real-world communication skills. I use a variety of teaching strategies, such as visual supports, and interactive activities to make lessons engaging and meaningful for diverse learners. My lessons are carefully planned to include clear language objectives, specific tasks, and opportunities for students to practice both receptive and expressive language skills.
I prioritize conversational practice, contextual grammar instruction, and active listening exercises to build fluency and confidence. My background in working with diverse learners also allows me to differentiate instruction, use positive reinforcement effectively, and create inclusive classrooms where every student feels valued and supported.
I have taught high school students, college students, and adults.
