Hi, I’m Nayana!

I am a graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Nevada, Reno, where I earned a 4.0 GPA and was one of nineteen students to be recognized as a Westfall Scholar for academic excellence. Achieving this required mastering challenging courses such as General Chemistry I & II, Physics I & II, Anatomy, Physiology, Genetics, and both upper and lower division biology classes. I also earned a perfect 100% in my college-level Physics, Biology, and Chemistry courses, demonstrating an understanding of both lecture and lab material. As a result of my academic achievements, I have been accepted to 11 medical schools nationwide.

Throughout my academic career, I have performed at the top of my class. I was a valedictorian candidate in high school, earning high A’s in Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and AP Calculus. I also took 12 different AP classes, while scoring 5’s on the AP Physics, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, and AP Environmental Science exams. Additionally, I scored a 760 on the math portion of the SAT and have successfully tutored students who achieved perfect scores on the SAT Math section. With three years of tutoring experience at my university, I have worked with students in physics, chemistry, and math in both one-on-one and small group settings. I tailor my sessions to each student’s learning style, whether that means using visual aids, working through problems step by step, or breaking down complex concepts into simpler ideas.

As a student, I achieved academic success by developing study strategies such as analyzing textbooks, identifying concepts most likely to appear on exams, and applying a structured approach to problem-solving.
