Hello, prospective client!

My name is Cheryl, and I have been teaching grade school students since 1996, and college and university students since 2006. Additionally, I worked for in center and online tutoring centers since 1993.

I have a Master’s in General Psychology, a Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology, and a graduate Certification in Global Health. I am still going to school, finishing up another degree; a Master in Public Health (MPH). Additionally, I hold honors in academia and psychology.

Personally, I live volunteering, and have done so since my teenage years. My longest volunteer service has been with the American Red Cross. I have been a disaster services volunteer since 1984. I love helping people, and the mission of the organization! I enjoy traveling, the arts, relaxing with a cup of coffee or tea, a good book, and my favorite music. I paint, draw, decorate cakes, cooking, florals, swimming, and spending time with family and friends! I have one older brother. He is married and lives in the beautiful mountain city Idywilld at 6,000 ft! My dad is 87, and I live with him. I am blessed to say that he is healthy, and always on the go! He is first generation Italian-American! I have two 4-legged children; one white poodle/Bichon mix, and a black cat of the monkey bred! He acts more like a monkey than a cat!

My favorite thing about teaching is that I meet so many wonderful people. Seeing students meet, or exceed their goals in academics is worth all the work! Most gain an improved self concept, and confidence! I love it when the student "gets it". Their face lights up, with a smile on their face, and they are proud of their accomplishment.

I would love to work with you! Take a look at my profile, and let me know how I can help! Just request an appointment with me on Wyzant's platform! I give a free 30 minute consultation! I hope to hear from you soon so we can start meeting your needs!

Did you know there are different types of attention deficits, each having interventions that more successfully treat that type? Sensory processing disorders, severe allergies, sleep problems, and other processing disorders can mimic, or if concurrent, make treatment less successful. When we discover the subtype of attention deficit, or the presence or absence of another disorder, the efficacy of the intervention is increased.
