Engaging and interactive teacher
My son is in kindergarten and just learning how to play chess. We just had our first lesson with David . David made the lesson fun and interactive by asking him questions and keeping him engaged. We are signing up for more lessons!

Bad experience.
Setting up lessons with this tutor for my son was very difficult. There was never a smooth communication. He would disappear during messaging, not be responsive and I had to chase him down for days to confirm lessons. Even after agreeing on a date and time he would not set up lessons until the actual lesson time and I once again had keep asking him to create lessons. Lessons themselves were mediocre at best. He would show up late and end the lesson half way through after confirming he had no problem doing the full hour days before. He would hold lessons in coffee shops where there are distractions and his thoughts were disorganized and seemed to treat lessons not seriously as if they are just chitchats. Most disturbingly he no-showed for 2 lessons without prior notices. Gave him benefit of the doubt for the 1st no-show but after no-showing for the 2nd time I had to tell him we won't be able to work together due to reliability and communication issues and he threw out cursing words. Just a bad experience overall.
David, 6 lessons with DavidTutor responded:This client was pleased with my tutoring sessions - hence, the multiple lessons we'd already conducted, as well as the fact that the client had arranged me to continue tutoring his student every schoolday for the remainder of the academic year. I was hospitalized - unexpectedly (as most hospitalizations are) - and so missed a lesson. I tried to explain the situation to the client, but they considered it "unprofessional" that I had not thought to contact them from the emergency room to inform them that I would be unable to make the tutoring session. Again, having had over half-a-dozen lessons with this student prior to this incident, the client had been well pleased with my services up to that point.
