I am a public health professional, educator, researcher, and health equity strategist with over 10 years of experience in public health, health education, and community-based work. I hold a Master of Public Health (MPH), a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration, and am a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®). I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Public Health (DrPH). My experience includes epidemiology, health education, health equity, community health, research, academic and thesis writing, and project management. I have taught and supported college and graduate students as a university adjunct instructor, graduate teaching assistant, and mentor, and I have experience conducting and publishing public health research.

My tutoring approach is supportive, practical, and tailored to how you learn. I can help with epidemiology, academic and thesis writing, research, and project management skills such as planning, organization, timelines, and breaking complex projects into manageable steps. I also offer Bible Studies tutoring for students seeking support understanding Scripture, exploring biblical themes, or developing stronger personal study skills. My goal is not simply to give you an answer, but to help you understand the “why” behind what you're learning so you can confidently apply it on your own.

Most importantly, I strive to create an inclusive, encouraging, and judgment-free space where you feel safe asking questions, even the ones you may hesitate to ask in a classroom. This is your time, and I want you to get the most out of every tutoring session. I welcome students from diverse backgrounds, experiences, beliefs, and learning styles. Whether you're an undergraduate, graduate student, or adult learner, we'll work together at your pace to make challenging concepts more manageable and help you move toward your goals.

Approved Subjects

Bible Studies

Bible Studies

I completed a 12-month School of Ministry program and earned a Christian Ministry Certificate, which included structured biblical teaching, Scripture study, Christian ministry, and practical application of biblical principles. In addition to my formal training, I have experience facilitating faith based discussions and incorporating biblical principles into educational, mentoring, and encouragement settings. I can help students better understand Scripture, explore biblical themes and context, study individual books and passages of the Bible, organize Bible study notes, and connect related passages throughout Scripture. My approach is supportive and discussion based, helping students engage with the Bible thoughtfully, ask meaningful questions, and grow in their ability to study and understand Scripture for themselves.
Data Analysis

Data Analysis

I hold a Master of Public Health (MPH) and am currently pursuing a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH), where I have completed coursework in Advanced Research Methods and received advanced training in quantitative and qualitative research methods, statistics, data analysis, and interpreting statistical output. I have experience using SPSS to analyze data, interpret statistical results, and understand outputs including descriptive statistics, frequencies, correlations, statistical significance, and other commonly used analyses. As a published public health researcher, I have experience working with quantitative and qualitative data, and professionally I have applied data analysis and program evaluation skills to public health research, community assessments, and evaluation projects, including the Community COVID-19 Impact Hub. I can help students understand how to approach a dataset, navigate and interpret SPSS output, understand quantitative and qualitative findings, and translate results into clear written conclusions, with an emphasis on making data analysis and statistics approachable and easier to understand.
Project Management

Project Management

I have over 10 years of professional experience managing and coordinating projects across public health, research, education, community engagement, and event planning, with formal project management training through FranklinCovey. My experience includes managing projects within a $23 million CDC funded COVID-19 Health Disparities initiative, coordinating contracts and deliverables, tracking KPIs and deadlines, supervising staff, conducting community based research projects, and leading large coalition initiatives involving more than 100 partner organizations. I use practical project management tools and strategies, including Gantt charts, Microsoft Planner, timelines, work plans, task delegation, stakeholder engagement, progress tracking, and evaluation, to move projects from planning through implementation and completion. I can help students and professionals break down complex projects, establish realistic goals and timelines, organize competing priorities, communicate effectively with stakeholders, anticipate challenges, and create actionable plans for successfully managing projects at school, work, or in community settings.
