My name is Darian, and I am a Physician Assistant with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Bay Path University. I earned my Bachelor of Science in General Biology from the University of California, San Diego. Through my graduate and undergraduate education, I have developed advanced knowledge in medical concepts, anatomy, biology, and the life sciences. I also have experience with college-level lower-division mathematics and am comfortable tutoring at the high school-level and below in biology, chemistry, physics, and other hard sciences.

Teaching has been an important part of my academic and professional experience. During my master's program, I gave numerous presentations on medical conditions and received positive feedback regarding my ability to explain complex concepts clearly. As an undergraduate at UC San Diego, I served as a Teaching Assistant for a lower-division biology course, where I led planned lessons, answered student questions, and graded assignments. During my pediatric clinical rotations, I gained additional experience working with school-age children and teenagers. Earlier in my education, I also volunteered at the elementary school where my mother teaches, helping care for and engage with children ages five and under.

I believe that effective learning starts with enthusiasm, curiosity, and making difficult concepts approachable. My goal is not simply to help students get through an assignment or prepare for an exam, but to help them understand the underlying concepts so they can become more confident and independent learners. I adapt my teaching approach to each student's needs and strive to make learning both productive and enjoyable.
