Hello! My name is Haiyue, and I am an Undergraduate Chemistry student at the University of California, Riverside. Throughout high school, I developed a strong foundation in mathematics and science, completing coursework including Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Calculus III, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, AP Physics C: Mechanics, and AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism. I also earned a 1520 on the SAT, including a perfect 800 on the Math section, and participated extensively in Quiz Bowl and Science Bowl, where I served in leadership roles and helped students prepare for competitions and coursework.
In addition to my academic background, I have completed over 50 hours of volunteer tutoring through my high school's peer tutoring program. During this time, I worked with students on a variety of STEM subjects, helping them understand difficult concepts, complete assignments, and prepare for exams. These experiences taught me how to adapt explanations to different learning styles and how to break complex topics into smaller, more manageable steps.
I specialize in Chemistry, Physics, Algebra, Calculus, and SAT Math. My goal is not only to help students solve problems but also to help them understand the reasoning behind each step. I believe students learn best when concepts are connected together rather than memorized individually. Whether a student is preparing for an exam, completing homework, or building a stronger foundation in a subject, I strive to create a supportive environment where questions are encouraged and confidence can grow.
I have also participated in scientific research and presented my work at academic conferences. These experiences strengthened both my problem-solving skills and my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly. I understand that every student learns differently, and I enjoy adapting explanations and examples to fit each student's needs. I look forward to helping students improve their understanding, build confidence, and achieve their academic goals.
