Hey, I’m Ish!! I’m currently a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of California, Riverside, with a strong passion for math, physics, and problem-solving. Throughout my academic journey, I’ve always been drawn to subjects that challenge me to think critically and creatively, and I enjoy helping others reach those same “AHA!!” moments. I believe that learning shouldn’t feel intimidating, and I aim to make difficult concepts feel approachable, logical, and even enjoyable.

My tutoring style is focused on actually understanding rather than memorization. I like to break down problems step by step, use visual explanations, and connect concepts to real-life examples whenever possible. I ensure that students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing confusion, because that’s where real learning happens. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my approach to match each student’s pace, goals, and learning style. Whether we’re reviewing homework, preparing for an exam, or building foundational skills, my priority is helping students gain confidence in their abilities.

I have experience working with students in both individual and group settings, including peer tutoring and academic leadership roles. I’ve helped elementary, middle school, high school, and college-level students with math and science-based subjects, and I enjoy supporting students who may feel behind or unsure of themselves. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but to help them develop problem-solving skills they can carry with them into future classes and beyond. I am always open to feedback from students and parents, and I strive to be a communicative, reliable, and supportive individual.
