I am currently a sophomore in college, and I have experience working with children in an elementary school setting. During this time, I helped students with hands-on learning activities, guided them through lessons, and supported them as they practiced new skills. I worked closely with younger students to help them stay engaged, understand instructions, and feel confident asking questions. This experience taught me how important patience, encouragement, and adaptability are when teaching children.
My background allows me to tutor students in English language arts, including reading, writing, grammar, and comprehension. I help students strengthen their reading skills, organize their thoughts in writing, and improve sentence structure and clarity. When working with students, I focus on explaining concepts in a simple, clear way and checking for understanding along the way. I adjust my teaching style based on each student’s needs, whether that means moving more slowly, using examples, or practicing skills together step by step.
I have experience working with elementary-aged students in a classroom-style environment, as well as providing individualized support during activities. I understand that every student learns differently, and I strive to create a supportive and positive learning space where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. My goal is not only to help students complete assignments, but also to build their confidence, independence, and long-term academic skills.
As a college student, I understand current academic expectations and the challenges students face today. I bring a calm, encouraging approach to tutoring and genuinely enjoy helping students grow and succeed. I am committed to being reliable, supportive, and attentive to each student’s progress, and I look forward to helping students build strong skills in reading, writing, and overall learning confidence.
