I'm Elisabeth! I am a student at California Baptist University. I will be graduating in the Spring of 2026 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a California Teaching Credential. As part of my educational training, I am privileged to work in the public school system as a volunteer tutor and teacher's aide twice weekly.
I have experience tutoring small groups and individuals (Elementary to Middle School) in reading, writing, math, history, and science. I also have experience working on organizational skills with students to set them up for success outside the classroom. My emphasis is on engaging, hands-on learning. My methods align with the understanding that lessons that allow students to engage with them will have a more lasting impact every time. I take a scaffolded approach to teaching, meaning I provide more support towards the beginning of the lesson, then provide ample opportunity for students to practice on their own with my support if needed.
I also believe that families are an asset to every students' learning. Therefore, I welcome engagement, support, and resources from you as we work together to set your student up for success.
