I hold a B.S. in Physics (Biophysics emphasis) and an MBA in Life Sciences, and I currently work as a Product Manager in the bioprocessing field. Alongside tutoring, I also provide part-time small business consulting, which allows me to teach many subjects with both academic depth and real-world perspective.

My tutoring style adapts to the student and subject, but my core focus is always the same: building strong foundations and intuition. Rather than relying on memorization, I help students understand how concepts fit together — the “gears” behind the material — so they can approach new problems with confidence.

Professional-Level Coaching for a Graduate Capstone: Omar is Knowledgeable, Clear, and Supportive

Omar helped me turn around my master’s capstone when I was behind and only had a month left. The project was to use Lean and Six Sigma principles to compose an A3 proposal to solve a business problem and present it to an audience of project management professionals. As a full-time student, I did not have access to a workplace setting for research. I had been forced to scrap a previous idea due to roadblocks in data gathering, restarting from scratch. He showed me how to properly research and evaluate a major corporation through public records,. With his guidance I refined my original idea into a structured and credible study. I conducted strong fieldwork, including a survey of local coffee chain franchises, with confidence gained from our meetings. He walked me step by step through building an A3 business presentation, drawing on his experience as a consultant. He was thorough, covering everything from big-picture thinking to the small details in a shareholder report. The sessions made the concepts finally click in a way my lectures and readings had not. Omar’s strong professional and academic experience allows him to explain things in a very practical way. He was attentive to my specific questions and focused on answering them, asking for my feedback afterward to make sure the issue was fully addressed. He communicated clearly both during sessions and over email between meetings to check in as I progressed through the project. He even had me rehearse the presentation and gave some tips to better my public speaking! The result was one of the strongest presentations in my class, and my capstone is now a real asset on my résumé. I worked with Omar on Economics and Statistics, two intimidating classes for me. Omar is very personable, even when you may feel awkward, don't know where to start, etc. He breaks down complex problems into their more comprehensive core concepts and is very flexible with scheduling ahead of exams or for homework. He breaks down any anxiety surrounding the subject by providing examples related to things you're interested in. He really helps you understand why you need to do each step rather than just robotically memorizing them.
