Hi, I am a dedicated college, high school, and AP STEM tutor with over 10+ years of experience. I hold a B.S. in Physics, with an emphasis in Biophysics, and an MBA in Life Sciences. I currently work as a product manager in the bioprocessing field, run a small event planning business, and provide part-time small business consulting. Despite all of these roles, I love to make time to tutor students in the subjects I love.

Hi, I am a dedicated college, high school, and AP STEM tutor with over 10+ years of experience. I hold a B.S. in Physics, with an emphasis in Biophysics, and an MBA in Life Sciences. I currently work as a product manager in the bioprocessing field, run a small event planning business, and provide part-time small business consulting. Despite all of these roles, I love to make time to tutor students in the subjects I love.

My tutoring style varies depending on the student and subject, but in general, I focus on building the foundations of subjects and my students' intuition within subjects. This is especially effective in physics, math, and engineering. Once you understand the "gears" of how a subject works, you no longer have to over-rely on memory to solve problems. My biggest joy, as a tutor, is seeing students become so comfortable with a subject that they start to anticipate questions or answers before learning them.

I have a B.S. in Biophysics so I am extremely comfortable in a wide range of mathematics. For Algebra in particular, it is by far the subject I have tutored the most. About 90% of my students get A’s in the subject. My tutoring style is focused on building the foundations of understanding, so I have never had a student need tutoring for any math class beyond algebra after I’ve tutored them.

I have a degree in Biophysics. I have tutored AP, IB, and collegiate biology. I also tutor MCAT biology and more. Over the last ten years, I have gained over 10,000 hours of tutoring all via word of mouth. I do everything from full on teaching to simple homework assistance. I teach by building a foundation of understanding, that allows my students to have an intuition about the subjects I teach. My goal as an educator is my own obsolescence.

Patient, Innovative and Incredibly Supportive

Given my theoretical and dense topics, I wasn't sure exactly how I would approach using a tutor to support my studies for my master's-level exams but Omar came immediately with multiple strategies and practical approaches. I also appreciated how much autonomy he gave me in the process to contribute to how we would carry out each session. He always knew the right questions to ask and the best method of framing complex theories to ensure a solid foundation. Omar would take the time to review the materials in advance and understand enough to challenge and test my knowledge. In addition to the structured study sessions, he also took time to know my learning style and my "why"-- which helped to build a trusting, and supportive relationship where I felt his passion in ensuring my success. This experience not only increased my results, but I also feel that I gained confidence and self-efficacy. He was flexible in scheduling and very responsive. I would recommend Omar 100 times over...with him, you are not just a number; instead, you've got someone on your team, who has your back and rooting you on.
