Hello! My name is Ansh and I am originally from the Bay Area. I completed my Bachelor's in Biochemistry at Case Western Reserve University and now I am a second year medical student in California!
In college, I was a peer tutor for a General Chemistry II class and graduate-level Molecular Biology class. Here, I would create worksheets and lead classroom sessions geared towards improving retention of the dense lecture material. During this time, I learned different strategies to supplement didactics in a variety of learning styles, which I believe is a crucial skill that separates good from great tutors. For example, I noticed decreased retention with simple worksheets for one of my sessions, so I had students assume the role of different proteins involved in DNA replication and act out a play for our class. It's these creative learning techniques I will bring to help retain information in your studies.
My goal is to work with you to achieve your goals. The road to college and medical school may seem daunting, but it always helps to have a friendly hand to guide you there. Whether it be worksheets, practice problems, mnemonics or more, I am committed to helping you understand the information to the greatest degree. Hope to see you soon!
