Engaging Tutor Helping Kids Build Confidence in Math, Reading & Beyond

I have several years of experience tutoring students in math, reading, science, and social studies, working with children ranging in age from 3 to 14. I began tutoring through Learn to Be, a free online tutoring program, where I supported students for three years, helping them build foundational skills and confidence. In 2022, I expanded my tutoring work as a freelance tutor in the San Gabriel Valley, providing one-on-one academic support for students in grades K–8. From July 2024 until 2025, I worked as a Math and Reading Tutor and Occupational Intervention Primary Instructor at Kumon, gaining experience supporting students with diverse learning abilities, including those with ADHD and autism. Additionally, as the founder of Arts for the Heart, I have led programs that integrate education with creativity, fostering engagement while reinforcing academic skills.
My tutoring approach is highly adaptive. I tailor lessons to each student’s needs, learning style, and pace, and I communicate regularly with parents to ensure progress and clarify goals. I focus not only on teaching academic concepts but also on building confidence, using patience, encouragement, and clear explanations to help students succeed. Whether introducing foundational math concepts, guiding reading comprehension, or facilitating creative learning experiences, I aim to make learning engaging and accessible for every student.
I graduated from Walnut High School in 2025 with highest honors and a 3.95 GPA and am now pursuing a BA in Psychology at the University of California, Riverside. Balancing academics, tutoring, and leadership activities has strengthened my organizational and time management skills, enabling me to provide effective, personalized support to multiple students while maintaining a high standard of instruction.
