I am an upper-division physics student with a 3.9 GPA, and I have a strong background in calculus-based physics, advanced mathematics, and problem solving. I am a Cal-Bridge Scholar, which is a program that prepares students for graduate-level research, and I will be spending this upcoming summer doing particle physics research at CERN. Along with my coursework, I have experience helping other students succeed in math and science, including tutoring and academic support roles where I work with students on everything from foundational concepts to more advanced topics. I understand what it feels like to get stuck on a hard concept, so I focus on helping students build confidence as well as improve their grades.

My tutoring approach is patient, clear, and personalized. I do not just show answers. I work step by step with students so they understand why each step makes sense and how to solve similar problems on their own. I like to break difficult ideas into smaller pieces, connect them to examples, and adjust my explanations based on how the student learns best. Whether a student needs help with homework, test preparation, or strengthening fundamentals, I aim to create a supportive environment where questions are encouraged and progress feels achievable. My goal is to help students not only get the right answer, but also become more independent and confident learners in math and physics.

Approved Subjects

Calculus

Calculus

I have extensive experience with Calculus I–III and Differential Equations, with a strong emphasis on applications in physics and engineering. As an upper division physics student with a 3.9 GPA and a Cal-Bridge Scholar, I use calculus extensively in upper division physics and engineering focused coursework. I have supported students as a Supplemental Instruction (SI) leader and tutor, helping them strengthen both conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills. I build custom practice problems and lesson materials tailored to each student’s course and exam format.
Differential Equations

Differential Equations

I have strong experience with differential equations from both coursework and applications in upper division physics. As an upper division physics student with a 3.9 GPA and a Cal-Bridge Scholar, I have worked extensively with first- and second-order ordinary differential equations, partial differential equations, systems of differential equations, and boundary value problems. I have supported students as a Supplemental Instruction (SI) leader and tutor, helping them understand solution methods and how to choose the correct approach for a given problem. I focus on building intuition and structured problem-solving skills rather than memorization, and I tailor practice problems to each student’s course and exams.
Physics

Physics

I am an upper division physics student with a 3.9 GPA and extensive coursework in calculus-based mechanics and electromagnetism. I have experience supporting students as a Supplemental Instruction (SI) leader and tutor, working closely with college students in challenging physics courses. I specialize in AP Physics and college-level physics for STEM and engineering majors, focusing on conceptual understanding, problem solving strategies, and exam preparation. I also build custom lesson materials tailored to each student’s specific course and learning needs.
