I’m a history instructor and tutor with over ten years of experience working with middle school, high school, and college students in both classroom and one-on-one settings. I hold a BA in History from UCLA and an MA in History from California State University, Long Beach, and I currently teach at the college level as an adjunct professor. Over the past decade, I’ve helped students across AP U.S. History, AP World History, academic writing, and exam preparation, working with a wide range of learners, from students trying to catch up to high-achieving students aiming for top scores.
My tutoring focuses on results. I don’t just review content, I teach students how to earn points. That means breaking down rubrics, building clear historical arguments, and practicing how to write strong DBQs, LEQs, and SAQs under time constraints. Many of the students I work with see significant improvement in both confidence and performance, including raising AP exam scores, improving essay structure, and developing study systems they can reuse across subjects. Parents often tell me that the biggest return on tutoring isn’t just grades, but that students stop feeling lost and start knowing what to do next.
I’ve taught in test prep centers, private tutoring settings, and college classrooms, which has made me adaptable and efficient with time. I’m intentional about making sessions focused and productive, so families see real value for the time and money they invest. Whether a student is preparing for an AP exam, struggling with writing, or trying to build stronger academic habits, my goal is always the same: clear improvement, practical skills, and steady progress that lasts beyond a single test or class.
