Hi! I’m Jennifer — a current teacher resident and co-teacher in a 3rd-grade classroom, completing my Master’s in Education and my multiple subject credential. I work full-time in an elementary classroom for the full school year, supporting whole-group lessons, small-group instruction, and one-on-one learning. This experience has given me a strong foundation in helping young learners build confidence in reading, writing, and math.

Before my residency, I also tutored and worked as an AVID instructor, where I learned how to break down skills in a clear, step-by-step way that helps students feel successful rather than overwhelmed. I’ve supported students in grades K–6, including multilingual learners and students who benefit from targeted intervention or extra practice. My teaching style is patient, supportive, and focused on helping students truly understand what they’re learning, not just memorize steps.

I’m also creative and love designing learning materials that make concepts easier for kids to grasp — whether that’s visuals, practice activities, or customized worksheets. My goal as a tutor is to make learning feel doable, relatable, and encouraging. I want students to feel proud of themselves and for parents to see real progress.
