Piano and Chinese lessons for students of all ages

Greeting students and parents, I am Cindy. I am an experienced piano and Chinese teacher. I have been playing piano for 17+ years, and look forward to sharing my music love with beginner and intermediate level students. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from California State University, Northridge, and an Associate of Arts degree in Music from Glendale College. I was awarded Certification of Merit (Level 10-Advanced Level) by Music Teachers’ Association of California (MTAC).

As a piano teacher, I strongly believe that music is beneficial to our children of all ages on an intellectual, social and emotional level. It also helps with motor skills, language development, and personal expression. In addition, I independently create and implement fun and my love of music to children by using my piano pedagogy knowledge and method books. Piano Lessons emphasize music theory, sight-reading, technique training, and variety of repertoires. I tailor and individualize lessons for students to reach their needs, interest, and personal goals.

I am a native Chinese speaker and Chinese teacher. I have been teaching children of all ages at a Chinese school for many years. In my class, my students feel free to ask me question. My goal is to make sure they are happy to learn Chinese and help them to practice Chinese with more self-confidence. Teaching Mandarin has always been my passion, especially in a small group or one-on-one with enthusiastic learner.

As a Chinese teacher, I have teaching ability to improve my students regarding Chinese language knowledge and culture in order to reach their needs, interest, and personal goals. I would love to bring my strong communication skill, teaching passion, patience, and dedication to my students. Chinese Lessons emphasize on pronunciation, character recognition, vocabulary, and grammar in order to improve students’ speaking, reading, and writing skills.
